Traditional Chimney Sweep to attend your wedding
Tradition has it that 200 years ago a chimney sweep saved the life of King George II by stopping his runaway horse and carriage. The king issued a Royal Decree that Chimney Sweeps are bringers of luck and should be treated with the greatest of respect.
So started the tradition and because sweeps are lucky, couples would arrange to meet the sweep at their wedding. Today seeing a chimney sweep at your wedding is still a lucky omen and many couples choose to have them attend their wedding for a handshake for the groom and a lucky kiss for the bride.
Book us for your wedding
We will wait outside your wedding venue dressed in traditional chimney sweep outfit (Think mary poppins with Neckerchief and rods) We will greet the newly weds with a lucky handshake for the groom and lucky kiss for the bride.
I will also provide you with a certificate with name and date as a keepsake and provide little bags of treats. Will stay for a while for pictures with the bride and groom and happy to take pictures with your guests too and explain the tradition of the lucky sweep at a wedding
